விசும்பின் துளிவீழின் அல்லால்மற் றாங்கே
பசும்புல் தலைகாண்பு அரிது
விளக்கம்
வானத்திலிருந்து மழைத்துளி விழுந்தாலன்றி, உலகத்தில் ஓரறிவு உயிராகிய பசும்புல்லின் தலையையும் காண முடியாது.
சொற்பொருள்
விசும்பின் – வானத்திலிருந்து (வேற்றுமை உருபு ‘இன்’ என்பது சங்க காலத்தில் ‘இலிருந்து’ எனும் பொருளில் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது; மேலும் விளக்கம் இங்கே..)
துளிவீழின் – மழைத்துளி விழுந்தால்
அல்லால் – அன்றி
மற்று ஆங்கே – அத்துடன் அங்கே

If no drop falls from the clouds, not even the green blade of grass will be seen.
